BLM announced “Moth and Bat Walk/Talk” in Malta on August 2nd.

(Malta) The Bureau of Land Management’s North Central Montana District announced they’ll be holding a Bat and Moth Walk Talk on August 2nd.

This program will be meant to educate the public on the importance of Bats and Moths to agriculture in Phillips County. BLM says they’ll be setting up a light screen to attract moths and mobile bat recorders to identify bats.

Speakers include Nicole Hussey, non-game biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; and Mat Seidensticker, executive director and lead researcher for the Montana Moth Project.
