(Havre) Havre will experience an injection of funds soon after the Downtown Havre Matters committee received a grant of over one million dollars.
This grant is being managed the Bear Paw Development Corporation, which operates in Havre, after they secured to dollars from the Montana Department of Commerce.
The goal of this grant funding is to boost tourism in the area and make “revitalization efforts” in downtown Havre. These funds come just after the Downtown Master Plan was approved by the city council, which is described as “an actionable document and policy guide designed to help communities envision what they want to look like”
Nailing down what the grant funds can and can’t be used for is the next step in the process.
