The Havre cross country teams ran in the Billings Invite on Friday morning and afternoon. The girls’ finished in sixth place with a score of 204, while the boys’ had an incomplete team result, officially placing 19th,
For the Blue Pony girls’, Hailey Gingery led the way with a 22:45.3 and 24th overall out of 101 runners. Paige Anderson was the second female Havre runner to cross, running a 23:36.8. Sarah Bachmeier ran a 24:28.7 to finish third individually for the team.
Individually for the Blue Pony boys, Mason Gregoire was first with a 17:56.3, good for 21st overall out of 124 total runners. Brayden Nimmick placed second on the team with a 21:25.1. Koby Preputin finished third at 22:25.8.
Havre cross country will next be in Kalispell to run at Rebecca Farms in the Flathead Invite on Sep. 6 at 12pm.
