(Havre) The Beaver Creek Park Board met on October 7th for their monthly meeting in the Beaver Creek Perk coffee shops meeting room.
Fisheries Biologist Cody Nagel was in attendance to talk about the park’s efforts to remediate an issue earlier this spring where the park was found to have violated the Stream Protection Act during it’s efforts to fight damages being threatened during flooding.
The board also discussed issues of funding for their upcoming beaver lodge, which is around 1 million dollars short of being fully funded, board member Lou Hegner (heg-ner) saying “we misjudged how much it’ll cost”. A fundraising effort is being discussed to address the shortage, stay tuned for more info as it’s made available.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 4th.
