The Havre cross country teams raced in the Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational in Helena on Thursday morning into the afternoon. 45 schools from around the Treasure State competed for the girls’, while 51 showed up for the boys. In the team standings, the girls’ placed 19th overall, while the boys were 46th overall.
Hailey Gingery was the highest Pony placer, finishing 16th in the final race of the afternoon and a time of 20:21.81. Gracie Shandorf was next, completing her run in 22:29.45, which was a 22nd place in Race No. 4. Ela Harbor was in 23rd for Race No. 5 and a 22:43.33 time.
Mason Gregoire was the fastest Havre boy, placing 34th at 18:20.72 in the last race of the afternoon. Koby Preputin also ran a sub-20 minute time of 19:18.89, which was a 38th place finish in the sixth race. Brayden Nimmick was in the top-3 for the Ponies, running a 20:41.58 in the fifth race, good for 37th place.
Havre has one more cross country meet this week, competing in Malta on Saturday at 10am.
