Havre’s water supply cleared of health advisories.

(Havre) The Health Advisories affecting the Havre City water supply have now officially been lifted following months of them being active.

According to Havre Public Works, the beginning of the Heath Advisories was February of this year when the water treatment plant experienced failures in treatment and disinfection.

This year, Havre also was mandated to undergo a boil water advisory on the 19th of April due to an outbreak of giardia (gee-arr-dee-uh), which was suspected to be caused by the public water supply.

The Havre Public Works says that as of the 11th of October, however, the Department of Environmental Quality has lifted the health advisory on the water supply.
