(Havre) The Havre Community Thanksgiving Dinner is set to take place next week, November 28th.
The dinner is expecting to serve around 700 people this year but including those who don’t eat and simply come to spend time, they see close to 1000 people each year.
Organizer Debbie Rhines says that all this is done by the work of volunteers, and this year they’re asking for more help.
“If you’re interested in volunteering please give me a call. I have a list of tasks that need to be done. Please let me know if you want to be there Wednesday or Thursday, if you’re a kitchen person or a dining room person. We also have a couple of jobs available for people that can only sit, so you’d sit at the door and tally the number of people that come through the door, greet them, give them a rundown, and welcome them to the community Thanksgiving dinner.”
