(Havre) The Havre Elk’s Club will be holding their annual memorial service Sunday, December 1st at 2:00 p.m.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Havre Elks’ Program Chairperson Brandy Kurtz, who says that this is a tradition that’s been around for quite some time.
“It’s a tradition that goes back longer than I’ve been alive, it’s just something the Elk’s do to honor the people. Instead of doing it every time like in a memorial service or doing a separate one for each family, we do a combined one to include everybody. The whole town is invited, everything.”
Those being recognized this year are David Greenwood, Jack Van Koten, PER David Brown
Roger Galland, John Sharp, and Carol “Bud” Borlaug.
The service will take place inside the Elk’s Lodge Room at 321 2nd Street.
