(Havre) The Hill County Board of Commissioners held their weekly business meeting on Thursday, December 19th.
The meeting started with 2 matters of employment before heading into contracts and agreements.
The county approved fencing to be installed along the land side of the Milk River Levee, commissioner Peterson clarified that the river side would not get fencing as it would collect debris.
The county also signed a memorandum of understanding with the city to approve an improvement grant to upgrade the city water treatment plant’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, or SCADA, system; the failure of that system is cited by city officials as a contributing factor for this year’s boil water advisory.
The city also covered 3 zoning and survey requests.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, December 26th, at 10 am in the Hill County Courthouse. This will be Commissioner Mark Peterson’s final meeting.
