On Saturday morning, MSU-Northern Skylights basketball blew out Embry-Riddle to cap the Arizona road trip, (79-49).
The contest was a four-point MSU-N lead at the end of the first 10 minutes, but the route was on after that. A (19-8) run in the second quarter led to the Skylights being able to play more freely and especially knock down shots from the outside. Northern was (10-19) from beyond 3-point range. 11 players got in the game for the Skylights and the bench outscored the Eagles, (46-20).
Half of the 3-pointers scored were by McKenzie Long, who recorded a career-high 15 points. Canzas HisBadHorse and Savannah Toms each chipped in with 11 points.
The Skylights finished three games in three days at (2-1) and are now (7-4) on the season. The team will roll into the Christmas break before hosting three Canadian teams shy of the new year.
