(Cascade County) Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter announced at a press conference that illegal drugs were being smuggled into the Cascade County Detention Center.
Slaughter’s statement on the matter was captured by KRTV in Great Falls.
“This is a multi-person group looking to smuggle drugs into our facility and were successful. They were able to smuggle methamphetamine, fentanyl, and suboxone into the Cascade County Jail,” said Slaughter.
The smuggling was successful despite security measures, according to Slaughter. The facility will now also have all in-person visits with inmates suspended until further notice.
