(Chinook) The Chinook City Council appointed an interim mayor to replace Mayor Glen Huestis on Tuesday, February 11th.
Huestis resigned earlier this year due to health issues.
His temporary successor is Chinook City Council member Robert Smith, who has since been serving in the position of mayor. He will stay as mayor until the end of his term, which is this November.
This replacement does leave a vacancy in the Chinook City Council which would need to be filled by the appointment of a new member.
