Salvation Army Thrift Store Set to Re-Open this Spring

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s Salvation Army thrift store is still scheduled for a renovation this winter and plan to reopen this spring. Director of the Havre Service Center, Trina Crawford says they will be replacing the floor, which is contaminated with asbestos, and reorganizing the interior of the store.

“Well, at this point, part of the renovation is bids, stuff like that. And so I know that they’re working on that end of it, my guess is. The schedule is still that the store will open back up in April and May and so that’s all I know on that at this point. It’s going to be exciting to see what happens. I think it’s going to be a very big asset, the way they’re going to re-do it.”

Crawford says their emergency services are not affected by this closure, and the Red Kettle, Giving Tree, and Adopt-A-Family programs are starting soon.
