(Hill County) The Hill County Commissioners reviewed two matters of county employment this Thursday, both regarding hires made by the Hill County Council on Aging.
Hill County Commissioner Jake Strissel says that one particular hire, Aleah Faldalen, will alleviate issues regarding meals in the Rudyard Senior Center.
“It sounds like she’s going to have a dual role of being the cook and then the site manager, so she’ll take, I don’t know how many meals that are going out [to Rudyard]. Just making sure that site is run to the standards of the Council on Aging Area 3.
Hale: That means they’ll start getting meals… at Rudyard?
Strissel: Yes sir.”
Consistent meals at the Rudyard Senior Center have been highly requested by the community for the better part of the last year since the departure of the centers previous cook.
Strissel has previously told New Media Broadcasters that those meals are crucial to seniors in that area, in large part due to the social aspect that it brings.
