(Superior) A Missoula woman who was reported missing was found dead in the Clark Fork River on Saturday, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office announced.
MCSO first shared that 39-year-old Megan Babbitts was missing on Saturday, April 26, just before 2:00 p.m. They stated Babbitts had last been seen the day before, Friday, at her Missoula home around 6:00 in the morning.
At about 4:30 on Saturday, MCSO shared that Babbitts’ body was found in the Clark Fork River near the rest area. Her body was sent to the Montana State Crime Lab for an autopsy, MCSO said, before extending their condolences to her family and friends.
