The End Is The Best

Havre, MT – As we inch closer to official practices for Chinook Sugarbeeter football, we inch closer to watching the benefits of offseason workouts.

Head coach of the Sugarbeeters Mike Jones told NMB Sports that his favorite part of the offseason may not actually take place in the summer.

“The end of it when football season starts and you realize that the kids that are able to consistently get in the weight room, how much they gained in those eight weeks.” Coach Jones stated.

“I think it really showed last year, we probably had our best summer ever. Coming into this year were hoping to have the same result, so there at the end of the summer when those kids realize how much stronger they’ve become, that’s probably the best part.”

Chinook football went 7-3 in 2025 with a playoff berth. The ‘Beeters will open the year with three straight road games starting at Simms on August 28 at 7p.m.
