(Helena) Carroll College is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. William N. “Bill” Ruud as its 19th president, effective July 1, 2025.
Chosen unanimously by the Presidential Search Committee following a comprehensive seven-month national search, Dr. Ruud emerged as the clear choice of trustees, faculty, staff, alumni, students, and community members dedicated to advancing Carroll’s mission.
Dr. Ruud will succeed Dr. John Cech, who announced his retirement last August. Dr. Cech’s final day as president will be June 30th.
