After a close win on Thursday night to wrap up the home schedule, Havre softball went east to Sidney on Friday to take on the Eagles and routed them, (14-2) in six innings.
After no score in the first inning, the Blue Ponies came out swinging in the second, taking advantage of three errors by Sidney and scoring six times. In the fourth inning, another Eagles mistake in the field brought in two more runs for Havre and also got another run via an RBI groundout.
The next big rally started with Havre getting the first four batters on base in the sixth inning, leading to runs scored on a walk and an RBI single after the first out of the inning was recorded. A two-run double capped off a five-run sixth.
Four Ponies recorded multiple runs batted in throughout the contest. Rachel Jette got the win in the circle, recording three strikeouts while scattering five hits and allowing just one earned run.
Havre softball continues its road trip on Saturday in Glendive, facing Dawson County.
