(Havre) Angel Castillo Haffley, one of the three individuals charged with the murder of 2 Box Elder men in March of 2024, was sentenced Monday.
The sentencing was preceded by several comments from relatives and loved ones who came to the stand to give impact statements.
Haffley was sentenced to 100 years in Montana State Prison for two consecutive sentences, which would bring Haffley’s total sentence to 200 years. State statute dictates that inmates must serve at least 1/4th of their sentence before being eligible for parole, which means Haffley will have to serve at least 50 years before being eligible for release.
