(NMB) The Start of summer means the start of summer sports camps. One of those camps is the MSU Northern Lights basketball camp that will run through this Thursday in the Armory gym. MSU Northern Men’s basketball coach Shawn Huse says the camp is meant to be fun, but is of course, about learning some skills.
“They work on some skills, they see themselves gradually get a little better at something as the week goes on and realize the value of mastering some details and some skills and some fundamentals, and how important those are and how helpful those are when you get into playing five on five.”
Campers in grades kindergarten through 4th grade will go from 9am until noon. Fifth through ninth grades runs from 1pm until 5pm through Thursday.
Coach Mouat’s Skylights basketball camp will be held June 16th through the 18th for grades K-5. Skylights middle School camp is June 22nd-June25th. For all the camp information visit go lights go dot com.
