WINSTON, Mont. — A Townsend teenager died in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning near Winston.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 18-year-old driver was driving east on U.S. Highway 12 just after 1 a.m. when his vehicle drifted off the road, hit a post, then crossed several lanes before rolling multiple times.
He was ejected from the vehicle and later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Authorities say road conditions were dry at the time.
