MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. — A 30-year-old man from New Jersey was injured by a bison on Tuesday in Yellowstone National Park’s Upper Geyser Basin near Old Faithful.
Park officials say the animal gored the man after a group of visitors got too close.
He sustained minor injuries and was treated on site.
This is the second bison-related injury in the park this year.
Officials remind visitors to stay at least 25 yards from large animals and use caution when viewing wildlife.
The incident remains under investigation.
