Lodgepole Man Charged in Multi-County Poaching Case Involving Headless Game

CHINOOK, Mont. — Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has charged 29-year-old Marvin Cole of Lodgepole with one felony and nine misdemeanors tied to the unlawful killing and antler removal from two whitetail deer and a bull elk in Blaine and Phillips Counties.

The case stems from a 2024 investigation into headless game found on private lands.

Charges include unlawful possession, waste of game, and illegal sale.

FWP credited strong community tips and multi-agency support for helping bring the case forward.
