Hill County Courthouse and Malta’s Villa Theatre Awarded State Preservation Grants

HAVRE, Mont. — The Montana Department of Commerce has awarded $350,000 to Hill County for improvements to the historic Hill County Courthouse in Havre.

In Malta, the Villa Theatre will receive $100,000 for preservation work.

The grants are part of a $6.9 million investment in 31 historic preservation projects across 21 Montana communities.

Funded through the Montana Historic Preservation Grant Program, the initiative supports economic development, tourism, and community revitalization.

The program aims to help preserve historic sites and museums while creating local jobs and boosting long-term investment statewide.
