(Rapid City, S.D.) Conrad Girls Track Coach Jim Carroll has been named the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) 2025 coach of the
year. Carrol was recognized at the NHSACA convention on Wednesday. Carroll has led the Conrad girls track team for 37 years and has been a finalist for the
award three times. In 2020 he was inducted into the Montana Coaches Hall of Fame and has been named the Montana girls track and field coach of the year
twice. Carrol has led Conrad to two state championships in 2002 and 2003. Coaches are nominated by each state and 8 finalists are selected in each sport. One
of the other finalists was long time Havre Girls Basketball coach Dustin Kraske. The nominees and finalists are selected on longevity, service to high
school athletics, honors, championship years and winning percentage.
