Blue Pony Football Preparing for Upcoming Season

(NMB) As the calendar turns from June to July the Havre Blue Pony football team has been busy with their off-season program, preparing for the upcoming 2025 season. New Media Broadcasters caught up with Blue Ponies head coach Jake Eldridge and he says the month of June has been busy for his team.

“It’s been a whirlwind so far the month of June. Once we get the opportunity to get out and start practicing with our guys and put pads on after Memorial weekend. It’s a bunch of practices and then we’re going to camps, and lifting has just started up this week. So, you know, before we blink our eyes here it’s the end of June and we’re getting ready to go into July. We’ve had a lot of football stuff going on and the kids have been working their tails off. It’s been a good June so far.”

The Ponies had a controlled scrimmage with Glasgow in June and attended the MSU team camp for three days. July will feature more weight training and a couple of seven-on-seven passing league type things with Great Falls and Lewistown. Havre is looking to improve on last year’s season that saw them make a semi-final game appearance in the State playoffs. The First day of practice for the 2025 season is Friday August 15th. Havre will open the season on the road in Whitefish on Friday August 29th
