Havre Fire Department Urges Fireworks Safety Ahead of Fourth of July

HAVRE, Mont. — With the Fourth of July approaching, the Havre Fire Department is reminding residents to celebrate safely and follow city fireworks ordinances.

Fireworks may be discharged from July 2nd to July 4th between 8 a.m. and midnight, but items like roman candles, bottle rockets, and skyrockets are prohibited.

Fireworks are not allowed in city parks, and children seven and under must be directly supervised.

Officials encourage attending public displays conducted by professionals and offer tips such as keeping water nearby, never relighting duds, and using fireworks away from dry grass or structures.
