(Chinook) – This Thursday July 31st will be the last day to swim at the Chinook City Pool in 2025. On August 1st, the first phase of the Chinook Friends of the Pool and Parks foundations vision comes to life with the start of pool rehabilitation. President of the Friends of the Pools and Park Foundation, Heather Depriest, explains what this rehabilitation will look like.
“So, the rehabilitation of the pool itself is going to be fixing the main pool body. Right now, it’s got some cracking going on and some different issues with the mechanical systems that run the pool and also our gutter system has a big issue. So, we are rehabilitating that part of the pool right now.”
