(Havre) – The Havre City Council met for their regular meeting on Monday night. After quite a bit of discussion, the Council voted to approve a Special Improvement District in an area that includes Heritage Drive, Bullhook Drive, and 10th Avenue.
The council approved additional stop signs including a four way stop at the intersections of 4th street and 6th avenue, 5th street and 7th avenue, and 4th street and 7th avenue. All these new stop signs are in the St. Judes School, Lincoln McKinley School, and Pepin Park area.
The council approved two street closure requests from PJ’s Restaurant and the Havre Chamber of Commerce for events during festival days weekend and they confirmed Trey Copeland as a police officer for the City of Havre.
Public works director Trevor Mork, also gave a pair of updates to the council about the Highland Park Water Project and the city-wide Lead Service Line replacement. The next Havre City Council meeting is on September 2nd.
