Havre, MT – Media days mark the true start of the preseason for Frontier conference football teams.
Wednesday saw part one of media days pass by. day on was the East division featuring the newcomers Dakota State, Mayville State, Valley City State, Dickenson State, and longtime Frontier conference members such as, Montana State University-Northern, Montana Tech, and Rocky Mountain.
Head coach of Lights football, Jerome Souers, was joined by veteran players, senior wide receiver Devin Shelton, and junior inside linebacker, Braydon Cline.
as upper classman, Shelton and Cline, expressed how much they like this year team. “I like the energy that we bring every day, it seems like we just want to compete and get better,” said Shelton.
Devon agreed with Shelton saying, “I think we are a tight nit team, and the comradery is there and it’s really easy to get along with all the players on our team and that makes it fun to be around.”
Lights football is underway for the 2025 season with the first game kicking off at home against Carrol College on Saturday, August 30, at 1p.m.
