(Havre) – The Hill County Park Board met on this past Monday for their regular monthly meeting. The board discussed their cabin lease policy as they have some proposed draft policy changes at the county attorney’s office. C and C Market in Rocky Boy approached the board about authorization to place a sign at Taylor Road to direct campers to their market. The Board tabled the request and asked C&C to visit with the Montana Department of Transportation and Hill County Road Department about this request, before coming back to the Park Board.
The Board accepted the recommendation of the Grazing Committee to allocate grazing land in the park in 2025 utilizing the average for the past three years. The board is also going to advertise a one year authorization for acreage in the park for 2025, on land that will not be utilized by one rancher this fall.
The next meeting of the Hill County Park Board is on Monday September 8th.
