(Havre) – The Havre City Council met for it second September meeting on Monday night. The council had two community members in Ward One that they interviewed for the open alderperson position in Ward One, Connor Burns and Dave Peterson.
Connor Burns was nominated for the position and the council voted unanimously to appoint him. After being voted in, Connor took the oath of office to begin his council duties immediately.
In other business the council unanimously approved to be the sponsoring government agency for Havre Public Schools to apply for a Community Development Block Grant for improvements to Lincoln McKinley School. Two street closures were approved by the council one for St. Jude’s annual pumpkin patch event on October 3rd and one for the Bullhook Community Health Center Zombie Fun Run and Walk on October 24th.
The next meeting of the Havre City Council is on October 5th, 2026 at 7pm inside City Hall.
