Tilleman Field and New Facility

Havre, MT – Tilleman Football field is a prized possession for Montana State University-Northern, But it won’t be for long.

It was announced earlier this summer that the loan to build Tilleman field was paid in full. In that same announcement MSU-Northen said they had received a grant to build their new athletics and recreation facility on the south side of Tilleman field that will include new home bleachers for Lights fans.

Head Coach of the Lights football program Jerome Sours says that Tilleman field is a blessing and why the new facility will be a terrific addition to the MSU-Northern Athletics and the community.

“We are blessed to have a wonderful field, and Chancler Kegel has done a great job of putting together the addition that scheduled to be built.” Sours said. “The Facility itself will still take football and other sports and the general campus. We think it will be attractive to enrolment and to a lot of schools on the hiline looking to compete to hold camps.”

Tilleman Field will host the season opener for Lights football on August 30, against Carrol College, at 1p.m.
