(BOZEMAN) – On Friday, United States Secretary of Education Linda McMahon visited Montana on her Returning Education to the States Tour. Secretary McMahon, along with Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, toured Morning Star Elementary School and hosted a discussion on improving literacy. Secretary McMahon and Governor Gianforte then toured Bozeman Agriculture Research and Teaching (BART) Farm and Montana State University to discuss workforce development in the state.
“Montana is making important strides by implementing targeted programs that boost literacy from early childhood through high school and expanding workforce initiatives that prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon.”
“In Montana, we’re focused on unlocking the brightest futures for our youngest minds by inspiring a love of reading, encouraging innovation in the classroom, and making historic investments for our teachers,” said Montana Governor Greg Gianforte.
