Kansas City, Mo. – Spencer Lehnerz, comes out of the Lights defensive back field to claim NAIA and Frontier Conference Player of the week.
Montana State University-Northern Senior out of Power Montana, Spencer Lehnerz was awarded with NAIA player of the week and Frontier Conference defensive player of the week for the first time of his career.
Lehnerz hauled in two pick sixes on Saturday at home vs he Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon to give Northern a 20-7 lead in third quarter. Lehnerz also collected his first sack of the season as part of a nine total tackle effort.
Through four games in his senior season, Lehnerz, has three interceptions (2 pic sixes), 37 total tackles, six tackles for loss and one sack.
Lehnerz will help lead the defense against No.5 Montana Tech on Saturday, October 11, from Tilleman field. Kickoff is at noon, and you can find it on KPQX.
