Havre, MT – Chinook Boys basketball kicks off their season Friday and Saturday at a tournament in Shelby.
The Sugarbeeteers only have one senior but Chinook head coach Bill Bell, has lots of players returning this season.
“Our only senior is Britt Powel, our key returners are Ryan Bell and Jamison Nordboe, along with cooper Standiford as well as Brice Elliot. Ryan Bell was our only All conference player last year, He was First Team All-Conference.”
Coach Bell knows his returners bring a certain value to the team.
“Three and four years’ experience. Some of them are just now juniors but have been playing varsity for three years now so they’ve got the understanding of the system, understanding of what the coach wants, and an understanding of our offensive and defensive schemes.” Coach Bell Said.
