Havre, MT – Blue Pony boys Basketball left Malta with an 82-55 loss Tuesday night and now turn their attention to the East West Tipoff in Dillion.
Havre High Boys basketball is now 0-4 on the year and will look to claim their first victory Friday against Frenchtown and or Saturday verses Bigfork.
Head coach of the Ponies Walynn Burgess knows these games will be a difficult task for his team.
“quick turnaround playing to really good teams. A team in Frenchtown you think could have a chance to win a state title. I mean they’ve got six kids over 6’5″ 6’6″. Then you’ve got a Bigfork team who returns seven of their eight starters who lost a play in game to go to state last year over in the west. I mean they’re two tough teams, isn’t nothing easy for us early on.” Burgess said previewing the weekends matchups.
Tipoff Friday against Frenchtown is set for 3p.m. and Saturday against Bigfork Havre will tipoff at 10a.m.
