HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday, historical attractions around town will combine their efforts for Havre’s annual “Living History Day.” Manager of the H. Earl Clack Museum Emily Mayer says they will be open from 11 AM to 5 PM and admission is free. Mayer also manages the Wahkpa Chu’gn Buffalo Jump and says they will have tours starting at 9 AM.
“We’ll be open from 9 until 4. The last tour will be at 3. Tours are about an hour. And admission for adults is $10, juniors 13 to 17 is $7, kids 6 to 12 will be $5 and 5 and under are free.”
Mayer says they’re not hosting the stone boiling demonstrations this year, but they hope to host other events throughout the summer.
“We’re not doing a mini Hands On History and we’re also not doing activities at the schoolhouse at this time, but there are some activities being planned for later on this year. So, I would encourage our listeners to keep an eye out for some of the really special programing we have planned for the Faber Schoolhouse.”
Living History events will be taking place at Havre Beneath the Streets, Fort Assiniboine, the H. Earl Clack Museum, the Wahkpa Chu’gn Buffalo Jump, and at the Highland Cemetery for a History Among the Headstones tour.
