Havre, MT – Havre High Blue Pony boys and girls’ basketball return to action this weekend with the girls hosting browning on Friday night and the boys travelling to Browning for their seventh straight game away from home.
Head Coach of the Havre Girls Tommy Brown says his team needs to stay under control against the chaos Browning creates.
“Well Browning can kind of create some chaos. We expect them to pressure us the whole game. They like to play fast paced. Sometimes with that fast pace you can get out of control. So I think the challenge on Friday is our team staying in the driver seat and making sure we’re not having any sloppy turnovers or careless possessions.” Coach Brown said.
The Blue Pony girls are looking for their seventh straight win.
The Havre High Boys basketball team is still in search of their first win. Head coach WaLynn Burgess says matching intensity and crashing the boards will be keys in the game.
“You know Browning is always going to get up and down and play a fast-paced game. They’re really good on going to the boards. It’s a culture thing for them so we’ve got to make sure to match the intensity on the pace and you got to make sure your finding body’s when a shot goes up.”
Both games will tip off at 6p.m.
