Havre, MT – Blue Pony boys basketball won both games last week at Hardin and at home against Miles City to and look to host Dawson County for their second straight conference game.
Havre has won three of their last four games and are carrying that momentum into conference play where they look to claim back-to-back conference victories.
Coach Burgess for the Blue Ponies knows it won’t be easy but explains what they need to do to pull out the win.
“Real tough Dawson team. They got the leading scorer in the conference in Ethan Rivas. He’s averaging 23 a game, he gets a lot of good run outs he gets a lot of shots up so we’re going to have to focus in as team to help control him. We know we are going to be in for a battle we know we’ve got to win our turnovers and our rebounding battle to give us a chance.”
Dawson is the only game this week for the Blue Ponies and the boys will tipoff at 4p.m. with girls to follow at 5:30p.m. and you can listen on KOJM.
