(Havre) – The Hill County Park Board met for the regular monthly meeting on Monday February 2nd.
The Havre Chamber of Commerce came and requested permission from the Park Board for the Bear Paw Marathon on June 6th. Due to input from participants the chamber is changing the start of the marathon course so the entire race will be on pavement.
In other business, board member Lou Hagner presented MSU-Extension’s report on the public engagement event that the park board sponsored in January. The board will vote on revision to the parks grazing policy and procedures at their March meeting, they awarded a $10,000 contract for roof replacement on park outhouses, and they awarded a $2,500 contract for demolition of the schoolhouse.
The next meeting of the Hill County Park Board is March 2nd.
