NMHC Implements Access Procedures for LDRP Unit

(Havre) – Northern Montana Hospital has implemented updated access procedures for its Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) unit to help maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, newborns, families, and staff.

The LDRP unit is now secured with controlled entry access. This is a common best practice in maternity care and is designed to support privacy, comfort, and safety during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Visitors may easily request entry by using the call panel located on the wall to the right of the LDRP entrance doors. The call button connects directly to the nurses’ station, where staff will verify access and unlock the door as appropriate.

“These measures help us provide a calm, secure space for families during a very special and important time,” said Lara Brough LDRP Director. “Our goal is to balance safety with a welcoming, supportive birth experience.”
