HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Living History Day was celebrated in Havre on Saturday and at Havre Beneath the Streets, Office Manager Christy Owens says they had a great turnout. Owens said they had over 300 people come through for a tour and many more coming to check out the model trains that were running in the basement of the Frank DeRosa Railroad Museum.
Owens says they had a great response from the community and would like to thank all of the volunteers that made the day possible.
Havre Beneath the Streets is still trying to raise money to fix the sidewalk at the end of their tour and on Saturday, they received a few hundred dollars in donations from people who came through their door.
They also kicked off their next fundraiser by selling raffle tickets for a four-wheeler. Tickets are $20 a piece or 6 for $100, and the drawing will take place in September.
