(Malta) – The Malta Volunteer Fire Department says they were paged out to a fire in Malta at 4:29am on Wednesday. This was a structure fire located north of the elementary school in Malta. Upon arrival the firefighters found the structure completely engulfed in flames. They report firefighters fought the fire from the front of the house for approximately three hours.
The Malta Volunteer Fire Department says 14 Firefighters fought the blaze. There were two Malta City Engines, two Wildland Trucks, one rescue truck, Phillips County Ambulance, Northwestern Energy, and Montana Dakota Utilities all on the scene.
Members of the Malta Volunteer Fire Department and the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office continued to monitor the scene Wednesday, as the structure was still smoldering.
