(Havre) – The City of Havre is now accepting applications to hay some city owned properties. Trevor Mork, City of Havre Public Works Director explains why the city bales hay.
“We do this to first and foremost keep down the fire hazard. We run our flood control diversions; we have some grassland. So, we want to keep that fire risk down to a minimum as well as it’s a recommendation by the Army Corps of Engineers t o keep that bulk load down for vegetation.”
