(WASHINGTON, D.C.) –Montana Republican United States Senator Steve Daines announced Tuesday, that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has selected the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) to be included in the FAA’s new contract tower transition program.
Bozeman Yellowstone International (BZN) is the busiest commercial airport in Montana. BZN operates as a Federal Contract Tower, staffed by employees of a private company rather than by FAA employees. In recent years, BZN has faced significant staffing challenges at their tower which has threatened BZN’s ability to ensure safe and efficient operations.
“Today’s announcement is great news for the Treasure State. Including the Bozeman airport in the new tower conversion pilot program will help improve the safety and efficiency of operations, making travel easier for both Montana residents and all those coming to visit our great state,” said Daines.
