(Havre) – Last month, Montana State University Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel announced his retirement. In an interview earlier this week MSU-Bozeman President Dr. Brock Tessman told New Media Broadcasters about one quality that has made Chancellor Kegel stand out in his time leading MSU-Northern.
“I think anyone who knows Chancellor Kegel will say there’s nobody that loves Havre and Northern more than that man and I think that has been really effective in making him a good leader and some of that is recruiting students. I think a lot of it is his attention to keeping students here and then really building the sense of a vibrant student life on Campus, that struck me quite a bit.”
Chancellor Kegel’s retirement is effective August 1st, 2026.
