Farmington, UT – The Big Sky Conference and media members announced the 2026 football preseason awards July 26.
Headlining the honorees is Grizzley running back Eli Gilman who was named to Big Sky preseason offensive MVP, and Bobcat defensive back Caden Dowler was named the preseason defensive MVP.
Montana State University football saw seven preseason all-Offensive nominees including quarterback Justin Lamson and wide receiver Taco Dowler. Seven Bobcats were also named to the preseason all defense and special teams. MSU’s 14 players selected was the most of any Big Sky program.
Eli Gilman was the only Grizzley selected to the all-conference offensive team. Selected to the all-conference defense from the University of Montana was Jake Mason on the defensive line and linebacker Peyton Wing.
This year’s Brawl of the Wild is scheduled for November 21, at noon in Bozeman.
