Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights football is ushering in a new era on the offensive side of the football.
Head Coach Jerome Souers brought in former wide receivers coach from San Jose State and Sacramento state, Sid Krishnamurthi, or Coach K, to call the plays this fall.
After a strong spring and summer program Coach K noted after one week of camp that the conditioning of his offense is right where it needs to be.
“The first foundation of any football program is the strength and condition aspect of it. The fact that we were able to come out here on Saturday and play like 60, 70 plays and guys staying in there and not getting hurt is testament to the conditioning.” Coach K shared.
“When I think about offense there is three parts to it that always have to be there, alignment, assignment, and execution. It’s a continual process to improve in all three so that in our first week we pop.”
Coach K has been tasked with turning around an offense that scored just over 11 points per game in the 2025 season.
Northern Lights football will open with a road rivalry game at Carroll College on Thursday August 27.
