(Havre) – Students in Havre Public Schools head back to class on Wednesday, which means school buses will be back on the road. School Resource officer for HPS and Sergeant with Havre Police Department, Tanner Donoven explains what those lights mean.
“So, buses have flashing yellow lights which is a yield or slow down, and then they have a red light which is a crossing arm that comes out as well. So, when you see those red lights, you are required to stop and come to a COMPLETE stop and STAY stopped until that crossing arm and red light and everything is gone.”
The Havre Police Department also reminds drivers to make sure everyone in your vehicle is wearing their seatbelt whenever you are in the car.
